A CASED 54-BORE PERCUSSION ADAMS REVOLVER RETAILED BY BRADDELL, serial no. 60460P, FOR RESTORATION,
late example circa 1865-70, with blued octagonal 6in. barrel, the borderline engraved top-strap signed 'J. BRADDELL & SON BELFAST', plain five shot cylinder, borderline engraved solid frame, double action mechanism (frozen, hammer broken off but present), chequered walnut semi saw-handled grip and Kerr rammer (frozen), much original finish below extensive and heavy surface rusting, complete in its retailer's oak casing lined and compartmented in blue baize (mothing, rust and mildew staining, damage to some compartments) and together with a flask, nipple key, cap tin, bone nipple pot, oil bottle, mould and loading rod, the revolver and all contents appearing to have been very little used before the onset of corrosion.
